The Social Marketing Association of North America (SMANA) is seeking new board members by way of a competitive board self-nomination process ( SMANA is comprised of a 16 person board and has 4 open positions. You must reside in North America (US, Canada, Mexico, Central America or the Caribbean) to participate. We are looking for social marketers with a diversity of experience from across different change agent disciplines such as behavioral sciences, health educators, design thinkers, etc.

The Experience. Board members participate in highly respected diverse professional networks, are introduced to senior executives, are exposed to different leadership styles, corporate cultures, business models, and given opportunities to apply formal business development skills, such as leadership, public speaking and advocacy.

The Commitment. Serving on the board is a 3 year commitment which provides numerous benefits to the individual. Board participation includes 6 conference calls per year, assisting standing committees, fundraising and representing SMANA within your geographic area.
